Grade 7 Poetry Recital Evening |

On 21 November, the Grade 7 girls attended the poetry evening at APPS. There were lots of different poems and all on different topics. They went from happy poems called ‘Freedom’ to sad poems called ‘Street Child’. Our guest speaker was Ruth Everson. We enjoyed having her there, introducing us to the crowd and then giving us feedback. She was very inspiring. Her teacher told her she was never going to be able to write poems and she proved her teacher wrong. She is now a well known poet. All the girls loved sharing their poems with everyone and I know that they enjoyed every moment of it.
