On Friday 6 August, the Grade 2S girls presented their Assembly Play. We acted out the Aesop fable of ‘The Boy who Cried Wolf’ and then presented a modern day version of the same story.
The girls learnt their words quickly and were very enthusiastic about their parts. Everyone performed their roles exceptionally well and the play went off without a hitch. We had strong narrators in both plays - a naughty shepherd and a wonderful sheep. The villagers grumbled loudly and the wolf made a dramatic entrance.
The second play showed a delightful group of girls returning from the circus to tell their friends all about it. ‘Brenda’ was caught out and learnt a hard lesson about lying to others. Well done girls, you can be proud of your performances!
Thanks to the mums and dads who came and supported our special morning.
