The main gate of the school is open from 07:00 to 07:45 and the Grade Nought gate from 07:00 to 08:00. A security guard is on duty outside the main gate from 07:00 to 18:00, and at the Grade Nought gate from 07:00 to 08:00 only, after which time the Grade Nought gate is locked. All parents are issued with security tags and these must be shown when entering the school, otherwise parents will be asked to sign the security visitors register.
Children are not permitted to sit outside the gate to wait for parents; they must be collected from the classroom, Late Stayers, After Care or the extra mural venue. Please be aware that lessons may sometimes finish a few minutes after the bell, and parents are requested to wait at the collection area. Girls not collected within fifteen minutes of the senior closing time must go to After Care and be collected from there. Additional security measures have been taken to ensure maximum safety of APPS girls, their parents and staff members.
Parents must notify their daughter’s teacher as well as the school office if their daughter(s) will not be collected by the person usually collecting them.
