After Care
An After Care facility is available from 13:00 until 17:45 throughout the term.  This is privately owned by Mrs Peggy Foster, and run by two experienced ladies on the school premises.  The facility operates on a casual and contract basis.  Homework is supervised and children are provided with a light lunch, fruit and juice.

After Care accounts are generated independently to parents by the After Care facility.

After School Arrangements
Late Stayers
To facilitate lift arrangements, children from Grade 1 to Grade 3 are able to go to Late Stayers and wait for older siblings or for extra murals to begin from 12:45 until the senior school closing time.  Junior primary teachers take turns in supervising the younger children during this time.

Late Stayers times and venues are put up on classroom doors in the Foundation Phase.

Grade 0:
Grade 0 girls must be collected from their classroom at 12:45, children not collected by this time will be sent to After Care.  Should you arrive early to collect your daughter, please wait in the playground until the bell rings at 12:45.

Grade 1 to 2:
At 12:45, the Grade 1 to 2 girls must be collected from their classroom.  Girls not collected by 12:45 must be collected from any planned activity or the Late Stayers classroom.  After Late Stayers, they must be collected from After Care.  Should you arrive early to collect your daughter, please wait in the playground until the bell rings at 12:45. 

Grade 3:
On Mondays and Wednesdays, Grade 3 girls must be collected from their classroom at 12:45 and on Tuesdays from the hall at 13:40 after Choir.  On Thursdays and Fridays, Grade 3 girls must be collected from their classroom at 13:15.  Girls not collected at the school closing times must be collected from any planned activity or the Late Stayers classroom.  After Late Stayers, they will be found at After Care.  Should you arrive early to collect your daughter, please wait in the playground until the school closing bell rings.

Grade 4 to 7:
Grade 4 to 7 girls not collected at their classroom after the close of their school day or any planned activity must wait at the tree outside the D & T classroom for 15 minutes, after which they will be found at After Care.

Parents should be aware that it is neither the school’s nor the teachers’ responsibility to supervise children who have not been collected timeously after school or afternoon activities.  As the girls cannot be left unattended, they must go to After Care if their lift is late.

Please Note:
Children in Grades 4 to 6 who wait for more than half an hour before an activity begins or ends must be at  After Care or in the care of the teacher taking the activity.  Grade 0 to 3 girls may, in addition to the former, also be at Late Stayers.

Grade 7:
Grade 7 children may go to the library or stay in their classroom by arrangement until 16:00, after which they must go to After Care.
